Gods Image And Racism

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with His deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcized nor uncircumcized, barbarian, scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.
Colossions 3: 9-11 NKJV

It's no secret that the industry of racism has been running rampant in this nation for far too long.  I sometimes believe that there are those in this country who would rather die than be accused by some college indoctrinated liberal twit of being a rascist.  I can see their fear, for who wants to be accused of such a thing?   We all ultimately want to be seen as accepting and kind to our fellow man.  However, there is big money in the racism industry in this country.  The likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson {The Justice Brothers} have done more to keep people down than any tyrant in the history of mankind.  Oh, and lest I forget the racist tactics of the Democrat party, who continue to this day to keep their constituents subdued with the bonds of economics, failed policies and broken promises.  There are some who say that the next race war is not long away for this nation.  Why do I mention this?  Because there is a truth out there which can put this entire idea of racism to death worldwide.  Imagine that, a world without racist boundries.  Isn't this the promise that many a liberal politician has spewed over the years?  You would think that with all the money thrown at perceived racial injustices over the years that we would have come close by now to resolving some of these issues?  Not a chance, for there is too much money to be made off of the backs of those the race industry seeks to subdue.

"God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.  Nor is He worshipped with mens hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.  And he has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth,  and has determined their preappointed times and the boundries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we liive and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring."
Acts 17: 24-28 NKJV

Now, I mentioned the truth that can put the idea of racism to death once and for all.  What is this great mystery?  The apostle Paul reveals this to us in Colossions 3.  For we are all the very image of He who created us {Colossions 3:10}.  Back in the day, God created man from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life {Genesis 2:7}.  We can rest assured that there are indeed no distinctions between Gods creation, for as Paul tells us, Christ Jesus IS all and is IN all {Colossions 3:11}.  So, where did this entire idea of differences between the races come from?

In 1950, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued a statement asserting that all humans belong to the same species and that "Race" is not a biological reality but a myth.  This was a summary of the findings of an international panel of anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists and phsychologists.

If this idea of racism is indeed a myth, then how did we ever fall for it's deception?  Well, like most traditions we abide by today in the modern church, the idea of race was originated by mankind himself.  We ourselves are responsible for this politicaly correct seperation of Gods creation.  For God never intended there to be differences in His creation, but to be His very image {Genesis 1:27}.  I was like most people when I first discovered this idea, how could a creation of people of different appearances be the express image of their creator?  Well, God is not flesh in appearance but spiritual {Genesis 1:2}.  Therefore, this body of flesh which we have grown so accumstomed to identifying one another with is nothing but a temporary vessel which contains that spirit which was created in the image of our creator.  Anyone confused yet?  Hey, I've been there.  Like many traditions man has created to explain what our Lord has created, we've fumbled this one badly.  The sad part of this entire racism industry idea is that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson both consider themselves "Reverends."  As men of faith, did they simply ignore our Lords word that there are no differences between Gods creation, but that all are created in Gods image?  As men of faith, did they fail to understand that Christ Jesus is all and in all?  This is one debate I would love to have with these two race baiters.
