Our Devine Conversation

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV

We all love our quiet time, I love my quiet time.  It is here where I can unload the worries of mmy day.  There are many books, devotionals and suggestions out there in christiandom about just how we can effectively spend time "Talking" with our Lord.  However, I really don't feel that this is some sort of magic formula that we must somehow master.  For from the begining it was never Gods intention to remain distant from His creation.  No, for we were created to have a close relationship with our heavenly Father.

So God created man in His own image; in tthe image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Genesis 1:27 NKJV

I'm thinking that a large part of life in Gods creation in the garden of eden was our Lord communing with His creation on a daily basis.  I think to myself how wonderful this must have been.  For who wouldn't trade their somewhat hectic everyday life for the chance to commune  with our Lord who loves us?  Well, the fact is that we can have this communication with our Lord even today.  As we see in Jeremiah 33:3, our Lord invites us to come to Him, to seek Him in our times of need.  For the  Lord says, if we call upon Him that He will answer our call.  Now, even though this is old testament scripture, I believe that God still cherishes the time He spends with us.  For as the scripture assures us, that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.  He is unchanging in His ways towards us.  For if He once loved us, so He will always.  It is this love for us that brought His one and only Son to be the image of sin on our behalf.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.  For what the law could not do in that was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh.
Romans 8: 1-3 NKJV

It is my belief that there is no precise method to our communication witth our Lord, all we need do is open that conversation with Him.  God is not so distant that He cannot hear us when we come before Him.  And not for our requests only, but also for that intimate conversation that we so often need with our Lord.  This world can be hectic, wicked and a trying place for any christian.  However, we can rest assured that whenever we feel the need to draw close to our heavenly Father, that He will always be there to listen.
